Øyra is an older, renovated farm, beautifully situated in a breathtaking scenery on a large peninsula between two lakes in Nordalsfjorden. Norddalsfjorden with its 280 inhabitants, is situated in Flora kommune with the coastal town of Florø as its centre. The holiday cottage consists of hallway, bathroom, kitchen, two living rooms and three bedrooms. The bedroom with bunk beds has a 120 cm wide lower bed. The mezzanine in the ground plan is a living room/bedroom without a door. The house is of high standards and fully equipped. There is a small and charming third living room in the basement, and a fish cleaning table with running water in another part of the basement. There is a 100 litre freezer. Also a 50 liter freezer in the kitchen and access to more freezer space at the owner's. Inside the house behind a window, there is a small display of old tools. Additionally you can rent 2 kayaks, one standard size and another shorter and wider, to use on the lakes. You can rent 3 rowing boats (14, 13 and 12 ft) and a 6,6 hp 4 stroke Mercury motor by the lakes, which are rich with trout. You can catch trout from 300-400 gram up to 1 kg and this is the 4th best water system in Western Norway. It is best to go fishing in springtime when the ice melts, but you can go fishing all year round. The season for sea trout is June 15th to August 1st. One boat is 50 meters from the house by one of the lakes, while the other is by the lake 200 meters away. The canoe is 50 meters from the house. There are several fishing lakes in the village, as well as mountain lakes with trout. The salmon record in the river is 18 kg. The rich wildlife in the area includes deer, grouse, ducks and capercaillie. It is thus ideal for hunting. The houseowner also owns the land around the cottage.
