THE AREA:
There are plenty of excursion options nearby. Rent a bike and head to Grenen, where the Skagerrak and Kattegat seas meet. On the way, you will pass the Grey Lighthouse, offering views over Grenen, the town, and the harbour. The former lighthouse keeper’s house now hosts the Centre for Migratory Birds, where you can learn more about the many birds passing through the area each year. A visit to Skagen Museum is also recommended, featuring works by famous Skagen painters such as P.S. Krøyer, Anna Ancher, and Michael Ancher.
