From the holiday home, there is a short distance to the Buried Church, which tells the story of historic sand drift in the area. On the way, you pass the Natural History Museum Skagen, located in the former Højen Station, from where summer guests were once transported to the seaside hotels in Gl. Skagen.
Only 3 km further north lies Skagen with a wide selection of shops, crafts, cafés and restaurants. Also visit Grenen, Denmark’s northernmost point, as well as the Skagens Museum. A stop at Skagen Bryghus for a locally brewed beer is recommended.
End the day at Solnedgangspladsen, where locals and visitors gather to enjoy the sunset – often with an ice cream or a cup of coffee from the kiosk.
