This is the holiday spot for everyone that wishes to be undisturbed on a peaceful island - the idyllic island of Giljeholme. The island has no road connection to the mainland, you can only go there by boat from Sekkingstad (2km). The ride from the parking lot to the house takes approx. 15 minutes. The place was originally a fish farm, but not anymore. The house was built in 1982 and renovated in 2008. You can go swimming and fishing on the outside of the island. Good fishing conditions and an 16 ft Askeladden boat with 50 hp Mariner 4-stroke motor, Garmin 5" GPS/sonar/chartplotter, control panel and rod holders is for rent by the dock of the house. Additionally an Argo 215 22 ft boat with closed cubicle, 115 hp Merkury diesel inboard motor, 6 rod holders, Simrad chartplotter/GPS/sonar is for rent. You can also rent an 18 ft Øien 530F boat with 25 hp Merkury 4-stroke motor, electrical start, control panel with screen, 6 rod holders and Humminbird 728 sonar. Life jackets included. Giljeholmen is located on the western side of Sotra, a large island you can explore by car. Bergen is approx. a 45 min drive from Sekkingstad. There are several sheltered and secluded outdoors spots around the house. From the house you have a great view of the ocean and it is especially adapted to fishing enthusiasts. The ground floor has a fish cleaning table, a freezer and fish smoker. The owner is happy to inform you about the good fishing spots. A safe parking spot by Vågen Seafood. NB!
